Are there dead places in your life?⁣ ⁣ Lost re Are there dead places in your life?⁣
⁣
Lost relationships? Broken dreams?⁣
⁣
The season of spring portrays a glorious shift from despair to hope, as it captivates us with a visual symphony of praise. ⁣
⁣
More than a pleasing shift from the stark panoramas of winter, spring’s vibrant beauty ushers in hope for the hard realities of our winter spiritual seasons.⁣
⁣
Spring illustrates the victory of the resurrection like no other season, enveloping the darkness of our hard paths in the glorious Light of God’s Love and Presence. Revealing the truth of John 1:5:⁣
⁣
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”⁣
⁣
But even more than the victory of God’s Light over darkness, meditating on the resurrection of Jesus Christ unleashes hope for the dead places of our lives. ⁣

My recent Substack shares a very personal journey from despair and darkness to Hope and God's Light and Love. ⁣

If you find yourself in a dark place with little or no hope, I pray my story might breathe renewed hope into your story. Link in bio!
Beauty is essential to my well-being.⁣ ⁣ For a Beauty is essential to my well-being.⁣
⁣
For as long as I can remember my soul has found not only joy, but strength in beauty.⁣
⁣
I could linger for hours at art museums, and be totally captivated by an orchestral performance, as if no one else shared the theater with me.⁣
⁣
I find beauty in ordinary places too, like the calloused hands of my husband as he gently holds my hand, or the giggles of my granddaughters, and the softness of my dog Shalom's ears, even in the raindrops on my bedroom window.⁣
⁣
But by far, the greatest beauty is in creation around me. On my daily walks ever changing beauty meets me. And what I treasure most about creation's beauty is it reveals the beauty of Christ.⁣
⁣
Just as the heavens declare the glory of God, and all creation shows forth His magnificence, each modicum of creation reveals something about His nature, His being.⁣
⁣
And nature's beauty gives us a glimpse of His loveliness. Perhaps that is why I am inexplicably drawn to creation's beauty, because it is God revealing the tender delicacy of His being.⁣
⁣
We often think of Him as powerful, but creation's beauty reminds us He is tender, exquisite, worthy of adoration.⁣
⁣
Yes, beauty is essential for my well-being, and I echo David's longing from Psalm 27: "One thing have I desired, that will I seek after...to behold the beauty of the Lord all the days of my life."⁣
⁣
Commune with the beauty of Christ in these photos from my walks, which one is your favorite?

Relationships, dreams, and everything which was once vibrant but now seems lifeless, in God's hands finds redemption.⁣

What one thing is missing from creation's portraya What one thing is missing from creation's portrayal of Creator God?⁣
⁣
The Apostle Paul proclaims creation's testimony as a means of man's accountability towards God.⁣
⁣
Standing before God, no one will claim God never revealed Himself to them. Creation testifies every day of God, whether we listen or not.⁣
⁣
Despite the display of Creator God's multi-faceted beauty and nature, creation falls short in its portrayal of one important area of God's person.⁣
⁣
Join me on the blog to find out what that one area is, and how it impacts our Christian walks in my new post, "Where Creation Falls Short", link in bio!
Where does creation fall short in displaying God t Where does creation fall short in displaying God to us?⁣
⁣
Ever since childhood my fascination with creation has both fueled my learning and drawn me closer to God. ⁣
⁣
From the early days of scampering through the woods, swimming in creeks, fishing, catching salamanders and collecting leaves, to my school days of charting constellations and measuring the arc and phases of the moon, my thirst for science has opened my eyes to the Creator behind the beauty I beheld. ⁣
