In a world of fake AI images how will you know the In a world of fake AI images how will you know the truth when you see it?

You'll have to take my word for it, but this photo was captured by me, and is every bit as real as I am.

But what about God? There are a lot of images out there claiming to be Him, or from Him. We can become confused especially when we need comfort or guidance.

When we want to know what the Heavenly Father is like, we need look no further than Jesus. "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." Colossians 1:15

Jesus Himself said if we had seen Him, we have seen the Father. (John 6:46) He came expressly to show us the Father and His love.
Jesus came to redeem mankind from the bondage of sin, but He also came to show us the Father.

Not so much in a physical sense, but His ways, His compassion, His love.

Jesus is our photograph of the Father.

Today, as you gaze upon the beauty of creation as in this picture I shared, or perhaps a photograph of a loved one, remember as you gaze at Jesus you behold the Father and His love for you.

Whatever you are going through right now, You Are Whatever you are going through right now, You Are Not Alone.

Whether you are struggling with the flood of everything coming at once, or feel like you are drowning in your sorrow, God is with you.

When you feel the pain of walking the hardest path you have ever walked, God holds your hand, He will keep you from the flames.

No path you walk, nor circumstance you face is isolated from God's presence, He will never abandon you. His unfailing love encircles and keeps you.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Isaiah 43:2

What place feels hard for you today, where do you need the reminder that you are not alone? Tell me in the comments and I will pray for you!

Does God really care about your suffering? Is He Does God really care about your suffering?

Is He even moved by your tears?

When you face prolonged suffering and receive silence as the answer to your prayers, these questions creep across your mind no matter how stalwart your faith.

Mother Teresa battled depression for most of her life serving the marginalized in the slums of India over these very questions, witnessing horrific suffering.

David, the greatest king of all time, and man after God's own heart wrestled with the same questions on multiple occasions.

I have wrestled with these same questions over my own suffering, but especially over the suffering of those I love.
When silence becomes the loudest sound I hear while begging for God's intervention, the door cracks open and these questions creep across my broken heart.

If you are in that place of silent suffering and endless tears, asking these questions from your own broken heart, I want to remind you of God's unfailing love and goodness.

The same unfailing love and goodness that sent His only Son to bleed Love on the cross in His own suffering and tears; hearing the same silence to His cries.

Suffering is not of God, it is a device of satan meant to destroy you and your trust in God's goodness and love.

But God redeems all of our suffering, what was meant for evil, God redeems for good, for your spiritual formation into Christlikeness.

And not a tear goes unnoticed by God, "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book." Psalm 56:8

Does God really care about your suffering? Is He even moved by your tears?

O beloved of God, the answer is a resounding YES!

Have you felt like this?⁣ ⁣ I had no more tears to Have you felt like this?⁣
⁣
I had no more tears to cry, no more prayers to pray.⁣
⁣
I watched as others enjoyed answered prayer, while mine languished unheard.⁣
⁣
And then a simple truth spoke from the depths of my pain.⁣
⁣
God’s voice whispered, “My love in silence encircles you.”⁣
And I knew, the deepest love requires no words, only presence.⁣
⁣
Even on this hard path where my feet slip, my heart doubts, and my hope falters, God is here. He promised even in the darkest valley I need not fear, for He is with me.⁣
⁣
He promised that though in this world I would encounter harsh realities, His presence would never leave me.⁣
⁣
He promised nothing in this world or out of it, no person, demon, situation, or even my own faith failures could separate me from His unfailing love.⁣
⁣
And He promised these things to you, too. Wherever you are today, whatever hard path you are walking, know this: You are not alone, God's unfailing love encircles you in the silence, because the deepest love requires no words, only presence.⁣

Are you in a spot where you need answers, but none Are you in a spot where you need answers, but none are forthcoming?⁣
⁣
While facing the cold reality of my husband’s cancer diagnosis requiring urgent surgery, which cannot be performed due to critical, life-threatening heart issues, a real life Catch 22 situation, I had one of those conversations with the Lord the other day; you know the ones where He’s clear on the directive, but short on details?⁣
⁣
Many people lament their lack of ability in hearing God speak to them regarding decisions or the need for direction in their lives. ⁣
⁣
I felt much the same way for many years, until realizing I had no problem hearing God’s direction.⁣
⁣
My problem centered on reluctance in moving forward when I still held so many unanswered questions.⁣
⁣
Resting in God without all the answers seemed both my ultimate freedom and my worst nightmare.⁣

Traveling through the hard places of life wears us Traveling through the hard places of life wears us down; challenging the goodness of God.

Jesus told us in this world, trouble travels as our companion. (John 16:33)
At times my request for a new traveling companion supersedes my desire for suffering to have its perfect work in my life.

I believe pain distracts from the truth; pushing us for a way out, rather than a way through.

But the wisdom of God when life is hard, begs us embrace the pain, befriend the suffering and in so doing, reap a heavenly reward.

But therein lies the rub: befriending the pain.

I am becoming more aware of my avoidance of emotional pain. And with that awareness, I am learning to self-protect less, opening up to God's presence in those painful places.

As I do, I am learning that God can be trusted to keep me safe, where I am held secure in His love and provision.

How are you feeling about befriending the pain within the suffering in your life? Let me know in the comments!

I’m learning that God speaks through the events of I’m learning that God speaks through the events of my day: through people, things, and even all of creation.

Which has me thinking…

To live in such a way means to be present for the moments of this day, moments which I will never have again,

Which then…

enables me to see past the exterior of what I encounter to the interior truths which will transform my life.

Which changes everything.

Where have you encountered God in your day? Events? People? Creation?
