A simple prayer from my heart to yours today: “Je A simple prayer from my heart to yours today:

“Jesus, teach me to walk with You in both suffering and hope. Help me to see Your love in the places that feel heavy, and Your light in the places that feel dim. Shape my heart through Your Passion and draw me closer to You with every step.”

May this prayer meet you in your deepest struggle today.

If you were to name a hard, dry, wilderness in you If you were to name a hard, dry, wilderness in your own life, what, or where, or who would it be?⁣
⁣
My current wilderness journey seems multi-faceted, but boiled down, it encompasses a long, hard season of relational pain. ⁣
⁣
Full of ups and downs, good days and bad, it feels as if I wander in a land where the water of hope has long since evaporated.⁣
⁣
In these parched wilderness places, we think if we could evade our current difficulties and disappointments, we would experience the freedom of God’s presence. ⁣
⁣
Only upon exiting the wilderness will our souls find the refreshing for which we long.⁣
⁣
But what if God is asking us to prepare a way for Him right in the midst of our wilderness of pain?⁣
⁣
Check out my new Substack post, "When You're Weary of the Wilderness", where I wrestle with these questions and share an important conclusion. Link in bio!
The wilderness is a place most of us prefer to avo The wilderness is a place most of us prefer to avoid.

But what if the wilderness was exactly the place where we could know Christ more intimately?

We live in a world that rushes, fixes, and moves on to the next thing quickly.

But the Passion of Christ invites us to linger — to stay present with Him in the places we’d rather avoid.

To linger with Christ is to slow down enough to notice His nearness. To let His suffering speak to our own. To allow His love to steady us in the places that feel unsteady.

The wilderness is an invitation to walk with Him at the pace of love.

What I wish someone would have told me on my harde What I wish someone would have told me on my hardest days is that I was not alone.

I was seen and loved.

Peace was possible even in the chaos.

My pain held purpose.

God hears and keeps every prayer I pray.

God bottles every tear I cry.

And ultimately, He redeems all my suffering.

When you are suffering, you don't need trite platitudes like "it could be worse" or misused bible verses like, "God works all things out for good!"

You need a hand to hold who has been there, and can sit with you in the hard, dark places, holding space for your grief, and offer you Hope.

That is why I created Serenity in Suffering.
And why here, you will find a tender caring heart to walk alongside you and offer meaningful encouragement and help along the way.

Suffering is hard and holy work, let's do it together.

If you are facing an uncertain future, walking a h If you are facing an uncertain future, walking a hard path of suffering or unanswered prayer, I wrote this prayer for you:

Father God, all around me seems uncertain right now. My grief over changes in my life and changes which may still come, steal my breath.

Anxiety is great within me, and my steps along this hard path are weary from long days.

Though my circumstance may not change for the better immediately, I choose to trust in your goodness, as a defiant stand against the evil which seeks to destroy my faith.

Speak peace over the storm of my life, strengthen my faith, and remind me of Your unfailing for me and Your eternal presence with me, which nothing can alter.
Amen

Save this for later!

Are you looking for a companion along the hard pat Are you looking for a companion along the hard paths of life?

When I wrote A Passion for Christ, my desire was less the feel of a book and more like a companion — something made for sitting in quiet moments, a guide gently drawing you toward Jesus.

Inside, you’ll find Scripture rooted reflections, invitations to linger with Christ through 40 of His names, prayerful practices, and space to notice how His love meets you in both suffering and hope.

It’s a slow walk through the Passion, one step, one moment, one grace at a time.

My prayer is that these pages help you meet Christ with fresh tenderness and deeper trust.

Can we really encounter God in the flesh?⁣ ⁣ Every Can we really encounter God in the flesh?⁣
⁣
Everyone expects an encounter with God when they enter church—even unbelievers. ⁣
⁣
We hope to encounter Him in His Word, or when praying. ⁣
⁣
Some of us look for Him in the beauty of creation, and still others anticipate His presence in times of focused solitude. ⁣
⁣
But how many of us expect an encounter with God at work, the grocery store, or while cleaning the bathroom? ⁣
⁣
Perhaps we harbor a limiting belief that God's presence abides only in sacred spaces. ⁣
⁣
Or maybe we give little attention to his presence once we plunge into our day. ⁣
⁣
When was the last time you were stunned by God in an incredulous encounter?⁣
⁣
Meeting God in an unexpected place challenges our preconceived ideas about His identity and actions.⁣
⁣
But what if we let God be God?⁣
⁣
Check out my new post, "Stunned by God: An Incredulous Encounter", where I share what happened when I let God be God and met Jesus face to face. Link in bio!
In my own wilderness with God, I struggled in the In my own wilderness with God, I struggled in the tension of suffering and hope. I had questions which seemed to go unanswered.

This book began in a season when I was learning to sit with my own questions, my own ache, my own longing for Christ’s presence.

I had no thoughts of writing a book — I simply kept returning to Jesus in the places where suffering and hope met in my life.

Over time, those quiet moments of returning became reflections. And those reflections became A Passion for Christ.

It’s a book born from lived experience, shaped by the gentle ways Christ meets all of us in our humanity.

I pray in your own places of holding the tension between suffering and hope you would encounter the same tender compassion of Christ's love meeting you there.

My book is now available on Amazon, see the link to purchase in my smart bio!
