Who is writing your story?⁣ ⁣ Realizing as a C Who is writing your story?⁣
⁣
Realizing as a Christian, God authors my story seldom quenches the desire to remove or alter painful events or those I deem purposeless.⁣
⁣
Though our stories may hold broken and painful chapters, they are never without redemptive value when penned by God.⁣
⁣
Though we may continue struggling with who exactly holds the pen, we can learn to rest our story in the sovereign hands of the God whose unfailing love secures only the best for His children.⁣
⁣
Join me on the blog for my new post, "If You Held the Pen", where I explore the tension in our stories and give 3 practical truths for trusting God with them. Link in bio!
Who holds the pen to your story?⁣ ⁣ If you hel Who holds the pen to your story?⁣
⁣
If you held the pen, how would you write your story? ⁣
⁣
Urged into owning and telling your story by popular culture today, may excite feelings of regret or shame. ⁣
⁣
Conversely, slipping into a bit of pride over achievements may unleash a one-dimensional exposé.⁣
⁣
Whether we choose telling our story or simply holding it, our perspective on its value determines whether we truly own it.⁣
⁣
Like most people, my story includes chapters which I insisted on writing, yet once finished, became sources of deep suffering. ⁣
⁣
While other chapters of equal suffering held redemptive value.⁣
⁣
The difference between the two rests in who holds the pen.⁣

🍁A sweet goodbye to September! Another bittersw 🍁A sweet goodbye to September! Another bittersweet month of embracing grief along the hard paths.

🌻Yet along the hardest paths God's faithfulness is enough.

🍂The loveliness of my favorite season met me each and every day in God's unfailing love.

Do you struggle with Unbelief?⁣ ⁣ I think ever Do you struggle with Unbelief?⁣
⁣
I think everyone does at one time or another, especially walking the hard paths.⁣
⁣
If you have visited my blog, Serenity in Suffering or read my posts regularly, you know I write about the hard places of life. ⁣
⁣
At times the Lord asks me to truly share from a place of painful brokenness.⁣
⁣
Trusting God with outcomes in our lives often reveals our personal struggle with unbelief. ⁣
⁣
How many times I ushered up prayers for situations or loved ones, asking God to intervene, only to find I still had anxiety over the outcome.⁣
⁣
If these thoughts resonate with you, join me at @w2wministries for this week's guest post, "Do You Struggle with Unbelief?" where I discuss practical ways to overcome doubt in your faith walk. Link in bio!
What fun memories do you have of acorns?⁣ ⁣ Al What fun memories do you have of acorns?⁣
⁣
All children seem to delight in acorns. ⁣
⁣
Laughing as I heard two little neighbor boys gathering them to make "soup", my own memory swiftly recalled having a fairy tea party in the woods.⁣
⁣
Gathering the numerous acorn tops in the woods we pretended they were fairy teacups! ⁣
⁣
My Mom even let us place a bowlful on the dining room table as autumn decor.⁣
⁣
I still use them to decorate my home, mingling them with my regular autumn decor.⁣
⁣
But alas, like so many things, acorns no longer seem so magical to most adults.⁣

Do you have any fun stories surrounding acorns?⁣ Do you have any fun stories surrounding acorns?⁣
⁣
Celebrating the official arrival of my favorite season, I marveled at the activity in the garden. ⁣
⁣
Goldfinches gathering seeds, cardinals fluffing their nests, and squirrels, the busiest of all, gathering hickory nuts and acorns! ⁣
⁣
As I gathered a handful or two, a story from long ago of autumn acorns speaking God's love brought a smile to my face.⁣

Happy National Daughter's Day @bucherrachel23! May Happy National Daughter's Day @bucherrachel23! May you always know how deeply you are loved and treasured.⁣
⁣
What a gift to be your Mom and what an absolute Joy to witness the beauty of who you have become.⁣
⁣
May the Joy of the Lord be your strength always!
Are you secure in your relationship with God?⁣
⁣
David, as the psalmist, speaks throughout the psalm of the terrors of his current suffering, culminating in his description of feeling trapped and hidden in his suffering from God.⁣
⁣
Sadly, that was a reality all too familiar for me; a reality all too familiar for many of us.⁣
⁣
Far beyond mere optimism for a good outcome, Hope demonstrates an unshakeable trust in the character of God despite what circumstances may shout to us. ⁣
⁣
Throughout Psalm 31, David not only cries out in trouble, but proclaims God's immutable character.⁣
⁣
Join me on the blog for my new post, "Hope Heals Your Heart", where I share my recent experience with Hope in the midst of a month of loss. Link in bio.
Are you feeling wounded by relationships, trials, Are you feeling wounded by relationships, trials, or just life?⁣
⁣
So much in this world seeks to wound us. ⁣
⁣
And in the wounding steals our Hope. ⁣
⁣
At times, awash in grief, or simply noting the tragedy in the headlines, we wonder if Hope even has value anymore. ⁣
⁣
But true, biblical Hope offers the most powerful answer to life's sufferings. ⁣
⁣
This month my One Word Friend revealed an important truth; Hope heals your heart.⁣
